I'm Dione Simmons (She/her) but you can call me Dee.

I'm a Naturopath & Functional Medicine Practitioner with over 15 years combined clinical and Industry experience.

MY BACKGROUND

Longevita Wellness (pronounced long - je - vita) meaning 'to live a long and healthy life' was born from my own health journey. I was a sick child, suffering from severe eczema, IBS and anxiety for as long as I can remember. When I was 13 years old, my parents sent me to live with some extended relatives overseas in Italy to see if the lifestyle was better for me.

I saw a doctor (who was trained both medically and as a naturopath) and she gave me natural herbal medicine and diet modifications that provided relief to all of my health challenges. For the first time in my life, I felt well and was symptom free. 

 

When I returned home to Australia a few years later, I soon came to understand the medical system in Australia really lacked the progressive and holistic approach which has been the mainstream system across Europe for decades.

 

This inspired me to study a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) and commit my life to practicing evidence based, holistic healthcare.

MY CLINICAL APPROACH

I am incredibly passionate about finding the root cause of why you are unwell. I navigate even the most complicated of situations providing solutions to support you back to wellness with empathy and compassion. I will also work collaboratively with your GP and specialists as required to ensure you achieve the best outcomes.

 

Having experienced and healed from a chronic and debilitating illness, I understand all too well what it is like to have poor health impact your life and happiness.

You also don't need to be unwell to see me, I also enjoy supporting individuals wanting guidance on optimising their health to feel the best now and into the future (also known as biohacking and longevity medicine). Taking proactive steps now can help to prevent disease later in life.

I also consult to many leading wellness brands providing expert guidance on evidence based natural medicines and formulating their products. Popular brands I have worked on include Lifespace Probiotics, Pentavite, Melrose Health, Nulax, Wellness Road, Elmore oil + many more.

ON A MORE PERSONAL NOTE

I live in Bendigo with my little family and my rescue pooch Max.

In my free time, I love cooking up a storm testing new recipes, running and catching up on the latest Netflix release.
